Global Citizen, the world’s largest movement dedicated to ending extreme poverty, announced today the appointment of five new members to its Global Board of Directors. The newly appointed board members are

▶ John Legend: Artist and producer

Avie Glazer: Co-Chairman of Manchester United

H.E. Mariam AlMheiri: Vice Chairwoman and Managing Director of 2PointZero

The appointment of these new board members reflects Global Citizen’s next phase of growth, as the organization expands into new regions and sectors. They are expected to contribute to the organization’s expansion into the Middle East through a new partnership with IHC, strengthen engagement with the private sector and new audiences, and support campaigns that convert public action into measurable impact across education, health, climate change, and economic opportunity.

Hugh Evans, Co-Founder and CEO of Global Citizen, stated:

“At a time when bold, cross-sector leadership is essential to solving extreme poverty, we are proud to welcome these exceptional leaders to our Board. Spanning culture, sports, business, and global policy, each of them brings the expertise needed to mobilize new audiences and expand our campaigns across the Middle East and Africa.”

but also to all future generations to come.

Since all decisions made by the current generation will either positively
